My name is Abigail Latif and I am the founder of Maternal Matters.
I am a professional NMC registered Midwife currently working in the NHS with over 10 years experience in a variety of roles.
I am also a wife and mother to 3 children. My personal experiences of hospital birth, home birth and breastfeeding have fundamentally moulded me as a Midwife.
My positive experiences have empowered me as a woman, giving me a solid foundation to support other families through support and education allowing them to make informed decisions around their own pregnancy and birth.
I am passionate about natural, active and water birth with a strong emphasis on the benefits of breast feeding and maternal wellbeing. My aim is that all people have a positive birth experience.
To support my practice, I have gained Additional qualifications
My additional qualifications enable me to provide a wider range of services to support your family in preparation for birth and becoming a parent.
Through my experiences, knowledge and research I have demonstrated that developing a continuous trusting relationship with a midwife can help achieve positive experiences during your pregnancy in birth and beyond.
